AUSKICK

Who is Auskick for?

Our Auskick program is run specifically for kids under 5-11 years of age.  Kids turning 7-9 have the option to join a junior team if they wish to play competition instead of Auskick.

What's involved in Auskick?

Auskick helps teach and develop the fundamental skills required to play AFL in a super fun way.  Kids get to run, jump, and play, and develop some great foundation footy skills along the way.

When does the program run?

Auskick sessions are run on Wednesday nights, 5.30pm til 6.30pm commencing 22/3/2023.

are there games involved?

Auskick sessions are non-competitive and are run at our home ground - Max McMahon Oval Rutherford.  From time to time, we are asked to participate in half-time exhibition matches at an AFL game, however this is no guaranteed.

Is there any contact involved?

At Auskick level, there is no contact, just great fun.  The kids learn to use balls of different shapes and sizes, which develops their hand-eye coordination, whilst using the specifically tailored Auskick equipment.  This ensures it is safe for all levels and abilities.
